Year, month, day and hour pillars
The 12 period names are Earthly Branches such as Ja and Chuk. A Heavenly Stem such as Gap or Eul is combined from the Day Stem to form the final hour pillar, such as Byeong-Ja. Unknown time leaves that pillar blank rather than guessing.
The Day Master is the central interpretive lens
The first character of the day pillar is classified by Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal or Water and Yin or Yang. It is used as a symbolic lens for self-expression, not a personality test.
Element distribution is a simple character count
The result counts each element across eight characters when time is known or six when it is unknown. More is not automatically better and less is not worse; this is not a professional determination of favorable elements or luck cycles.
The relationship between today and the Day Master
The generating and controlling relationship between today's Korean Day Stem and the birth Day Master selects reflection prompts for overall flow, work, money management, relationships and daily balance.
Input exists only briefly in browser memory
The controls have no name attributes, so their values cannot enter the URL even if the script stops. The feature uses no fetch request, cookie, Web Storage or server persistence and releases original-value references after calculation.
Korean basis and calculation limits
Exact time uses Korea Standard Time with Seoul-longitude correction; an approximate choice applies one conventional two-hour period from Ja through Hae directly. Midnight rules, overseas births, historical daylight saving and boundary times may differ in another almanac.
